Bethany Christian 57, Argos 51 (Jan. 6): Sean Richard hit three 3-pointers in the fourth
quarter and scored a team-high 21 points, and J.J. Morris added 20, but the Dragons suffered their first Hoosier Plains loss to visiting Bethany Christian at Phil Weybright Gymnasium on Jan. 6.
Nate Manikowski added six points, and Luke Stults had four for Argos (6-3, 2-1 Hoosier Plains).
Argos lost despite making more free throws (9) than Bethany Christian attempted (8).
Tyson Chupp scored 12 of his game-high 29 points in the fourth quarter for Bethany Christian (6-4, 2-0).
Bethany Christian led 24-23 at halftime and 36-35 after three quarters before pulling away in the fourth.
Bethany Christian snapped a 10-game losing streak to Argos and beat the Dragons for the first time since January 2012.
Bethany Christian also won the JV game 48-25. Hunter Xaver led Argos with nine points, and Hayden Hensler and Mac Calhoun had seven each. Gabe McMillen had two.
