Riffle’s 37 helps Rochester beat incomplete LaVille

Rochester 180, LaVille (incomplete team): Noah Riffle earned medalist honors with a 37 for the host Rochester boys golf team in a win over LaVille on the back nine at Round Barn Golf Club at Mill Creek Tuesday.

Drew Strasser had a 41, J.R. McLochlin had a 45, Brock Bowers had a 57, Kaeven Brown had a 60, and Parker Brown had a 62.

Ryan Maenhout led LaVille, who had only three players, with a 68.

Rochester also fielded a “second team” that shot a 194. Robert Bozzo led that team with a 44, and Enrique Navarro added a 46. Davis Renie had a 50, Wesley Meadows had a 54, Brady Morgan had a 55, and Ashton Musselman had a 57.

Riffle’s round included a birdie on the par-4 13th hole, two bogeys and six pars. Strasser parred No. 10 and No. 16, the only par-3s on the back nine.

The Zebras will next play in the Rock Hollow Invitational at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru at 8 a.m. Saturday.
