The Rochester baseball team will play Westview in a Class 2A semistate semifinal at Oak Hill at 2 p.m. Saturday, the IHSAA announced.
Illiana Christian and Madison-Grant will meet in the first semifinal at 11 a.m. The winners return at 8 p.m. for the semistate final.
Rochester knew Monday night that their next opponent was going to be Westview after the completion of all regionals. The IHSAA released sites and game times for the semistates on Tuesday.
Oak Hill High School is located at 7756 West Delphi Pike No. 27, Converse. The games will be played on a turf field. Rochester will be the home team against Westview.
Illiana Christian, the two-time defending state champion, was ranked No. 13 in the final coaches poll of the season. The other three teams were unranked.
In other baseball news, the Class 4A semistate was placed at Lafayette Jeff’s Loeb Stadium, the Class 3A semistate at Kokomo Municipal Stadium and the Class 1A state at LaPorte’s Schreiber Field.
Victory Field in Indianapolis will host the four state championship games on June 14-15.
