Rochester beats Valley, ends 3-game slide

Rochester 5, Tippecanoe Valley 2 (Wednesday): Rochester scored four goals in the first half and went on to beat Tippecanoe Valley at the Brent Blacketor Memorial Sports Complex Wednesday.

Pablo Arriaga and Damian Garcia each had a goal in the first half for Valley, who lost their second straight game and fell to 2-9-1.

Rochester, who led 4-2 at halftime, improved to 3-7-1 and snapped a three-game losing streak.

The teams could meet again in Class 2A, Sectional 22 at Wabash from Oct. 6-11.
