Rochester girls soccer roundup: Cortes-Gustafson stops 22 shots in loss to Manchester

Manchester 1, Rochester 0 (Monday): Alexandria Cortes-Gustafson had 22 saves in goal for the visiting Lady Zs in a road loss to conference and sectional rival Manchester Monday.
Rochester dropped to 3-7-1 overall and 1-2 in the Three Rivers Conference with the loss.
“Our second top-notch defensive showing in a row,” Rochester assistant coach Mark Eber said in a statement. “Just need to find some goals.”
Rochester visits Peru at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Maconaquah 2, Rochester 0 (Saturday): Alexandria Cortes-Gustafson had seven saves in goal for Rochester in a road loss to Maconaquah Saturday.
Delight Pier scored a goal in each half.
“RHS shut out the number one scorer in the TRC (Molly Berryman), but Mac got a goal seven minutes in and the clincher with two minutes left,” Rochester assistant coach Mark Eber said in a statement.
Twin Lakes game postponed
The Twin Lakes-Rochester girls soccer game has been postponed from Oct. 1 to Oct. 2.
Start time is 5:45 p.m. at the Brent Blacketor Memorial Sports Complex.
This will be Rochester’s regular season finale.
