Rochester girls swimming drops opener to Plymouth

Girls basketball has Peru game moved to Dec. 2, adds LCC, drops Culver

Girls swimming

Plymouth 99, Rochester 83 (Tuesday): Makenna Beall won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, and Elena Bode won the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, but RHS dropped a home dual meet to Plymouth in their season opener at the RMS pool Tuesday.

RHS also won the 200 and 400 freestyle relays.

The 200 free relay team consisted of Kendyll Bradley, Bella Riffle, Molly Vance-Gruss and Zoe Seward, and they won in 2:07.60. The 400 free relay team consisted of Bode, Ellie Shank, Zoe Seward and Beall, and they won in 4:22.59.

RHS’ first coed meet is at Goshen next Tuesday. Their next home meet is against Manchester Dec. 10.

No spectators are allowed at RHS home meets this year.

Girls basketball

RHS schedule changes: The Rochester girls basketball team has rescheduled its game against Peru scheduled for Thursday to Dec. 2. Game time is 6:15 p.m./7:45 p.m. (JV/Varsity) at RHS.

RHS has also added Class 2A, No. 4 Lafayette Central Catholic to its schedule. The teams will meet at Central Catholic Dec. 19. The game is a rematch of a Feb. 15 regional semifinal game, which Central Catholic won 47-38.

The Culver-RHS game scheduled for Dec. 2 has been canceled.

RHS is also saying that the Nov. 28 game against Winamac is “TBD.”
