Rochester Middle School wrestling update: Zebras win RRC title behind 7 individual champs

Middle school wrestling
Led by seven individual champions, the Rochester Middle School wrestling team won the Running Rivers Conference title at Peru March 13.
The champions included Gil Newton (75), Vince McKee (80), Carson Banks (90), Wyatt Beck (110), Lucas Enyart (117), Landon Hisey (125) and Dreyden Harris-Roeder (220).
Second-place finishers included Abraham Seward (160) and Roman Coffing (195).
The lone third-place finisher was Ryker Smith (175).
Fourth-place finishers included Otto Koebcke (85) and Kevin Jones (140).
Mason Woodcox finished in fifth place at 95.
Jacob Miller finished sixth at 132.
RMS finishes regular season 9-0 (March 9): The Rochester Middle School wrestling team had a three-way meet at Southwood that also included Wabash March 9. No team scores were kept.
Rochester winners included Carson Banks, Wyatt Beck, Cylas Vega, Lucas Enyart, Derek Hisey, Ryker Smith, Zaiden Parlett, Landon Hisey, Rowan Heinzmann, Gracie Beck, Gil Newton, Vince McKee, Trae Keller, Dreyden Harris-Roeder, Hudson Long, Landen Skinner, Otto Koebcke, Jace Lawson, Kevin Jones, Roman Coffing and Abraham Seward.
Rochester finished the regular season 9-0.
RMS hosts invite: The RMS wrestling team hosted an invitational March 7.

Rochester wins 3-way dual vs. Edgewood, Manchester (March 5): The Rochester Middle School wrestling team won a three-way home dual against Warsaw Edgewood and Manchester March 5.Â
The Zebras beat Edgewood 72-24 and Manchester 90-5 to improve to 9-0.

RMS competes in hybrid triple dual at Peru (Feb. 24): The RMS wrestling team participated in a hybrid triple dual tournament against North Miami and host Peru Feb. 24. No team scores were taken.

RMS beats Urey, Valley in season opener (Feb. 17): The RMS wrestling team won a three-way dual against Urey and host Tippecanoe Valley Feb. 17 to begin their season.
RMS beat Urey 96-15 and Valley 84-31.
