Rochester’s Miller, Winamac’s Wegner make girls honorable mention

Rochester senior Grant Bailey and junior Kale Shotts have been named First Team Academic All-State in boys track.
In order to be honored, an athlete must be a junior or senior, must be on the sectional roster and must have a minimum 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Seniors must have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or an ACT composite score of 26. Juniors must meet the same criteria or have a minimum PSAT score of 1140.
Also, the coach must be a member of the Indiana Association of Track and Cross-Country Coaches.
RTC area boys earning honorable mention status included Caston seniors Alex Ault and Josiah Helt, Rochester seniors Harrison Dunwoody and Lincoln Holder and Winamac senior Charles Disinger.
No RTC area girls made the first team.
Area girls earning honorable mention included Rochester junior Vivian Miller and Winamac senior Avery Wegner.
