Rochester senior cross-country runner Zoe Seward finished in 51st place out of 204 runners in 19:27 at the IHSAA state finals Saturday.
Seward was running at her first state finals. Her career best was a 19:04 at the New Prairie semistate on Oct. 22. She also ran a 19:05 at the Manchester sectional on Oct. 8.
Indianapolis Chatard’s Lily Cridge won the state title in 17:14. Noblesville won the team title with 122 points.
Maconaquah, the lone Three Rivers Conference team in the field, finished in 23rd place. Manchester’s Kadence Fox took 79th place in 19:47.
