Rochester softball to face Maconaquah, Northridge at Logan tourney

The Rochester softball team will face Maconaquah and Northridge in pool play at the Ron Kinnaman Classic at Logansport Saturday.
The tournament consists of six teams, and each team will play three games.
Rochester is in the Black Pool, and their pool play games will take place on the JV field. The Maconaquah game will start at 10 a.m., and the Northridge game will follow at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Then Maconaquah will play Northridge at approximately 1 p.m.
Pool play begins at 2:30 p.m. The second-place teams in each pool for third place, and third-place teams in each pool will play for fifth place.
The first-place teams in each pool will play in the championship game at Fincher Field at 4 p.m.
Logansport, Fishers and Lowell are in the Red Pool.
Maconaquah is 2-3 and has allowed 69 runs in their five games. Northridge is 0-2 with losses to Fairfield and Lakeland, and they have allowed 23 runs in two games.
The Lady Zs are ranked No. 9 in this week’s Class 2A coaches poll. They will host Mishawaka today and Lafayette Jeff tomorrow before the tournament.
