RRC title highlights TVMS boys golf season

Middle school golf

TVMS update: The TVMS boys golf team shot a 185 and beat an incomplete team from Wabash on April 22.

Ethan Young led Valley with a 40, Wes Parker had a 45, Landon Patrick had a 49, Ian Cooksey had a 51, and Evan Bolinger had a 57.

Other scores included Johnny Hill’s 51, Parker Newcomer’s 55, Khristian Sebastian’s 56, Nash Bouse’s 63, and Remington Rickel’s 65.

Valley also beat Wabash in the girls match 309-310. Savana Miller shot a 71, Kenlee Long had a 76, Ellis Overbey had a 78, Maris Overbey had an 84, and Taylor Long had an 85.

The TVMS Gold team shot a 205 and placed second and the TVMS Green team shot a 234 and took fourth at the Warsaw Invitational April 29.

Wes Parker led the Gold team and claimed medalist honors with a 44. Ethan Young added a 47, Ian Cooksey had a 53, Evan Bolinger had a 61, and Landon Patrick had a 62.

The low scorer on the Green team was Jarron Evans, who had a 52, Johnny Hill had a 56, Parker Newcomer and Khristian Sebastian each had a 63, and William Mellott had a 68.

Lakeview won the team title with a 200.

Rochester 225, Tippecanoe Valley 283 (girls, April 30)

Tippecanoe Valley 203, Rochester 274 (boys, April 30)

Olivia Bailey shot a 44 and Ava Thomas had a 45 for the Rochester Middle School girls golf team in a win over Valley on April 30.

Bailey’s round included five pars. Thomas birdied No. 13 and also had three pars. KayLea McCarty had a 67, Alexis Haughs had a 69, and Rilyn Strasser had a 70.

Kenlee Long led Valley with a 69. Bailey Anderson had a 70, and Ellis Overbey, Maris Overbey and Taylor Long each had a 72.

In the boys match, Wes Parker shot a 44 and Ethan Young had a 45 to lead Valley to the win. Evan Bollinger had a 54, Landon Patrick had a 60, and Ian Cooksey had a 69.

TVMS boys win RRC title: The TVMS boys golf team shot a 196 and won the RRC title by 18 strokes over runner-up Northfield.

Three TVMS golfers made the all-conference team: Wes Parker, Ethan Young and Evan Bolinger. Parker shot a 43 and took second, Young had a 44 and was third, and Bolinger shot a 52 and was seventh.

In the girls RRC tournament, TVMS had an incomplete team, but Kenlee Long shot a 63 and finished eighth overall among individuals to make the all-RRC team.

Middle school soccer

Tippecanoe Valley 7, Wabash 1

Owen Omondi scored four goals, and Andres Rosas added three goals for TVMS in the win over Wabash on April 27.

Tippecanoe Valley 4, Rochester 0 (“A” team)

Tippecanoe Valley 3, Rochester 1 (“B” team)

Andres Rosas Scored twice, and Owen Omondi and Damian Garcia had one goal each for the TVMS soccer “A” team in a 4-0 win over Rochester on April 26.

In the “B” game, Juli Ruiz, Keith Haney and Edwin Olivas each had a goal for Valley in a 3-1 win.
