Scales scores 19, Zimpleman hits 5 treys as Caston stays unbeaten

Caston 50, Tri-County 37 (Saturday): Isabel Scales scored a game-high 19 points, grabbed seven rebounds and dished out five assists for the Class 1A, No. 3 Caston girls basketball team in a road win over sectional rival Tri-County Saturday.

Addison Zimpleman hit five 3-pointers and added 17 points. She also had five assists and three steals.

Kinzie Mollenkopf and Bailey Harness also had seven rebounds each.

Caston led 28-22 at halftime and extended the lead to 43-30 after three quarters.

Freshman Grace Luck led Tri-County with 12 points.

Caston beat Tri-County for the third consecutive meeting.

In the JV game, Autumn Miller had eight points and nine rebounds for Caston in a 45-24 loss. Kylie Reidenbach and Olivia Thomas had four points each, Kylee Logan and Kaitie Hutsell had three points each, and Ann Ulerick had two points. Hutsell also had 10 rebounds.
