Lady Comets hold Lady Hornets to 19% shooting

Caston 42, Rossville 18 (Tuesday): Isabel Scales had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds and led three players in double figures, and the Caston defense held visiting Rossville to 19 percent shooting from the field in getting a home win Tuesday.
Addison Zimpleman knocked down two 3-pointers and had 12 points, and Madi Douglass also made two treys and had 11.
Douglass also had four steals, and Scales had three steals.
Caston outscored Rossville 13-2 in the second quarter to build a 21-9 halftime lead.
The 18 points were the fewest Rossville has scored in a game since January 2022.
They were also held to just three points in the fourth quarter.
Class 1A, No. 4 Caston improved to 6-0. They will next play Lewis Cass at home Nov. 29 in the first round of the Cass County Tournament.
Rossville, who won their sectional last year, fell to 2-3.
