Winamac 59, Caston 54 (Friday): John Malchow scored a game-high 24 points, and Jayse Bentle scored 10 of his 15 in the fourth quarter as Winamac held off Caston in the second half to earn a Hoosier North road win.
Winamac held Caston to seven points in the second quarter in building a 30-22 halftime lead.
Cain Schanlaub, back after a one-game absence due to illness, led Caston with 17 points. Talon Zeider hit five 3-pointers and added 15.
Caleb Stinson and Colby Pugh had eight points each.
Winamac made more free throws (8) than Caston attempted (6).
Winamac beat Caston for the first time since Feb. 19, 2019.
