Shedrow, Sieber combine for 28, lead Lady Cavs past West Central

Girls basketball

Culver 47, West Central 33 (Thursday): Maddie Shedrow scored 16 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, and Grace Sieber hit four 3-pointers and added 12 points for the host Lady Cavaliers in a win over West Central Thursday.

Shedrow made 10 of 14 free throws. Sieber also had five assists.

Baleigh Binkley contributed nine points and five assists.

Culver had a 41-30 rebounding advantage.

West Central led 19-15 at halftime, but Culver outscored the Lady Trojans 17-4 in the third quarter.

The teams will meet again at Oregon-Davis at 8 p.m. Eastern on Tuesday at Oregon-Davis in a Class 1A, Sectional 50 quarterfinal.
