Stark, Hines have record-breaking nights, lead Winamac over Caston

Winamac 8, Caston 0 (Thursday): Sean Stark had four goals, and Jaybin Hines had two goals and two assists as the Winamac boys soccer team trounced visiting Caston Thursday in the regular season finale for both teams.

Rylan Craig and Justin Housinger each contributed a goal and an assist. Asher Jones also had an assist.

Winamac had a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal and 6-0 edge in corner kicks.

Hutch Martin had two saves in goal for the shutout.

Winamac led 5-0 at halftime.

Stark broke the single-season goal-scoring record at Winamac with 33. Hines broke the single-season assist record with 14.

Winamac is 9-4-2. Caston fell to 3-11-1.

The teams could meet again in the Class 1A, Sectional 36 final at Argos on Saturday.
