Stiles fans 12, adds 2 hits, RBI in Valley’s win over NorthWood

Tippecanoe Valley 2, NorthWood 1 (8 innings, Wednesday): Corinna Stiles had two hits and an RBI at the plate and also pitched a two-hitter with 12 strikeouts for the visiting Lady Vikings in a season-opening win over NorthWood Wednesday.

Abby Bowers also had a hit, two walks and an RBI.

Madi Smith and Brayden Baney each had a double and a run scored. Olivia Wilson and Macy Kirchenstien each had a single.

Freshman Adriana Beachy tossed a six-hitter with eight strikeouts for the Lady Panthers.
