Stinson scores 25 in Caston’s OT win over Northfield

Zeider adds 13, Schanlaub adds OT buckets for Comets

Caston 57, Northfield 52 (OT, Jan. 28): Caleb Stinson scored a game-high 25 points, and Cain Schanlaub scored five of his 11 in overtime as the Caston boys basketball team beat visiting Northfield on Jan. 28.

Talon Zeider added three 3-pointers and scored 13. He and Schanlaub combined for eight of Caston’s 10 points in the overtime.

Ethan Kroh led Northfield with 21 points, including all five of his team’s points in the overtime. Dillon Tomlinson added 12.

Northfield led 26-23 at halftime, but Caston rallied to take a 41-37 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Northfield went 6 for 6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter, and the game was tied at 47 after regulation. Northfield went 12 for 12 from the line for the game.

Caston beat Northfield for the third straight year.
