Trailing at halftime, Caston beats Peru behind Scales’ double-double

Caston 59, Peru 51 (Nov. 8): Isabel Scales scored 29 points and tore down 11 rebounds

Isabel Scales

for a double-double while also contributing seven steals as the Caston girls basketball team topped host Peru at Tig-Arena on Nov. 8.

Addison Zimpleman and Bailey Harness each had eight points and seven rebounds. Zimpleman and Annie Harsh had three assists each.

Peru led 18-16 after one quarter and extended the lead to 28-25 at halftime. Caston rallied to take a 41-38 lead after three quarters.

Caston outscored Peru 20-9 from the foul line. Scales went 11 for 12 from the line.

Caston beat Peru for the fourth straight meeting.
