Tippecanoe Valley 54, South Bend Washington 48 (Friday): Stephen Akase scored a game-high 28 points, and Ian Cooksey hit four 3-pointers and scored 11 of his 14 in the second half as the Valley boys basketball team beat visiting South Bend Washington at Rita Price Simpson Court Friday in their regular season finale.
Riley Shepherd made all six of his free throws and added nine.
Valley led 25-18 at halftime and extended the lead to 42-32 after three quarters.
Valley finished the regular season at 15-8. They will play Knox at 6:30 p.m. Friday in a Class 3A, Sectional 18 semifinal at Valley.

Warsaw 62, Valley 50 (Feb. 20): Riley Shepherd hit five 3-pointers and scored 20 points, and Stephen Akase added 13, but the host Vikings lost to Warsaw at Rita Price Simpson Court on Feb. 20.
Ian Cooksey knocked down three 3-pointers and had nine.
Brandt Martin scored a game-high 22 points for Warsaw. Luke Yeager added 14.
The teams were a combined 16 for 16 from the foul line.
Valley led 15-14 after one quarter, but Warsaw came back to lead 39-27 at halftime.

Valley fell to 14-7.
Center Flory Bidunga, a University of Kansas recruit and an Indiana Junior All-Star last year, led the Wildkats with 26 points. Karson Rogers added 11.
Kokomo (21-3) made more free throws (seven) than Valley attempted (four).
Kokomo led 28-21 at halftime and extended the lead to 47-32 after three quarters.
