Valley boys tennis tops Squires, now 5-1

Tippecanoe Valley 4, Manchester 1 (Wednesday): Liam Newcomer and J.J. Kammerer won at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively, and Valley also swept the doubles matches in a road win over Manchester Wednesday.

Valley improved to 5-1 going into a match at undefeated Goshen Saturday.

All four Valley points came in straight sets.

Liam Newcomer won 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2 singles. J.J. Kammerer won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Tanner Glennie and Will Parker won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles in their first match as partners, and Malaki Christian and Cooper Mills won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles in their first match as partners.

Noah Mellott lost 6-2, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
