Valley girls tennis falls to Warsaw in sectional semis

Girls tennis

Warsaw 4, Tippecanoe Valley 1 (Friday): Karley Hallstrom and Maci Parker won at No. 2 doubles, but Valley fell to Warsaw in the semifinals of the Warsaw sectional Friday.

Hallstrom and Parker beat Mackenzie Campbell and Ellie Porter 6-4, 7-6 (3).

Karegan Callahan, Savana Miller and Bella Parker all lost in straight sets at singles.

Sarah Finney and Ella Sandbakken lost in straight sets at No. 1 doubles.

Valley finishes the season 16-2. Callahan, Finney and Sandbakken were the seniors on the varsity roster.

Warsaw went on to beat Wawasee 4-1 Saturday to win their 24th consecutive sectional title.
