Tippecanoe Valley 2, Wabash 0 (Aug. 21): The visiting Lady Vikings began their season with a road win over Wabash Aug. 21.
The win snapped a 17-game losing streak and as the team’s first win since a 3-2 win over Rochester on Sept. 13, 2023.
Valley coach Tricia Sederholm noted that her team has 21 players. She cites Rylee Thompson, Lindsey Peterson, Kherington Craft and Haley Derf as team leaders. Juli Ruiz, a junior who returns after not playing last year, and Alexis Elliot are newcomers to the team.
“Our biggest strength is that we have so many players with experience,” Sederholm said in a statement to RTC. “Our biggest weakness is that we don’t have as many underclassmen as upperclassmen.”
