Valley’s Wise, Bussard get off to strong starts in win over NM

Tippecanoe Valley 52, North Miami 26 (Wednesday): Hadley Wise and Dalynne Byssard scored eight points each in the first quarter as the host Lady Vikings jumped out to a 16-point lead, and the Valley defense held North Miami to 18 points under their team scoring average in a home win Wednesday.

Wise finished with a game-high 13, and Bussard added 12. Lucy Hayden scored nine, and Malaynie Costello came off the bench to score seven.

Grace Sailors had eight, and Kayden Donaldson scored seven for North Miami. North Miami leading scorer Laney Musall, who came in averaging 13.4 points per game, was held to four.

Valley led 25-11 at halftime and extended the lead to 43-19 after three quarters.
