Officials from the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation and Tippecanoe Valley High School held a groundbreaking ceremony with seven Valley students on April 10.
The renovation includes new wrestling/multi-purpose spaces, pool renovations with expanded spectator seating and new locker rooms.
Non-athletic parts of the project include a new auditorium, agriculture classrooms and labs and student collaboration areas.
The school corporation said in a media release that prior to the approval of the project that it held “community stakeholder meetings for input and to learn of the future vision for the Tippecanoe Valley High School Campus.”
Representatives from Fanning Howey Associates and Baker Tilley attended the stakeholder meetings to provide details of the architectural planning and financing.
The corporation said in the media release that the project is tax-neutral.
School corporation officials attending the groundbreaking included TVSC Board members David Lash, Adam Heckaman, Aaron Zolman, Todd Hoffman and Thomas Bauters as well as superintendent Blaine Conley and high school principal Brandon Kresca.
Students who attended included Hailee Norman, Remington Rickel, Joey Lybarger, Isaac Whetstone, Marcus Smith, Lindsay Peterson and Hayden Stookey.
