Baseball sectional to include New Prairie

Softball

Tippecanoe Valley’s new Class 3A softball sectional will include three Central time zone teams, per the IHSAA’s release of sectional assignments Friday.

Valley’s sectional will include Culver Academy and John Glenn from the Eastern time zone and Knox, Kankakee Valley and Rensselaer from the Central time zone.

Kankakee Valley is a reigning Class 3A regional champion.

Marc Green is set to begin his first season as Valley softball coach in the spring. Valley has not won a softball sectional title since 1992.

Baseball

Just like its volleyball and boys basketball sectionals, Valley’s baseball sectional is also a five-team field.

Culver Academy, John Glenn, Knox and New Prairie round out the field.

Valley is coming off a 6-10 season for coach Jarred Littlejohn.

John Glenn went 30-3 last year and lost to eventual state champion Andrean in the regional final.
