Valley sports briefs: Girls basketball to play West Noble, Lakeland Saturday

Girls basketball

The Tippecanoe Valley girls basketball team will play sectional rivals West Noble and Lakeland at the Lakeland Classic Saturday.

The West Noble game will start at 11:45 a.m., and the Lakeland game will start at 4:45 p.m.

Valley hasn’t played since a 60-31 win over Whitko on Dec. 19.

Valley’s next Three Rivers Conference game is at Northfield Jan. 7. Their next home game is against sectional rival and defending Class 3A state champion NorthWood Jan. 12.

Boys basketball

Oregon-Davis 49, Valley 41 (Dec. 23): Valley fell at home to Oregon-Davis Dec. 23. Dawson Perkins had 22 points and 11 rebounds for Valley. Nolan Cumberland had 11 points.
