Valley goes 2-0 at 3-way dual (Wednesday): The Tippecanoe Valley wrestling team went 2-0 at a three-way dual meet at Northfield.
Valley beat Southwood 69-6 and Northfield 46-33.
Galvin Shambaugh, Barrett Heller, Drake Montelongo, Jacob Manns, Branson McBrier, Jadyn Virgil and Cameron Mason all went 2-0 on the day.
Bazle Owens, Darren Crump, Joel Cisneros, Brandon Hammer, Dalton Alber and Ian Becker each had one win.
Valley will travel to Maconaquah for the Three Rivers Conference tournament at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Cross-country/track
Miller signs with USF: Valley senior Chase Miller signed with the University of St. Francis Wednesday to continue his academic, cross-country and track careers.
St. Francis is an NAIA school located in Fort Wayne.
Middle school girls basketball
TVMS 52, Triton 4 (8th grade, Wednesday)
Triton 22, TVMS 19 (7th grade, Wednesday)
Mackaylie Costello scored 14 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Avery Wagoner had 11 points and three boards for the TVMS eighth-graders in a win over Triton Wednesday.
Carlee Snyder and Bailey Bussard added nine points each, Emma Patrick had five points, and Lydia Craig had four points.
Snyder had a team-high seven rebounds. Craig, Patrick and Wagoner had three rebounds each. Bussard had two rebounds.
In the seventh grade game, Gaby Gonzalez had 12 points for TVMS in the loss. Dalynne Bussard had four points, and Betty Shepherd had two points.
Gonzalez also had six steals. Bussard had 10 rebounds and five steals. Shepherd had two steals. Maci Parker had five rebounds.
