Lady Vikings win first volleyball conference title

Tippecanoe Valley def. Jimtown, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22 (Tuesday): Avery Wagoner had 31 assists and broke Hannah Engstrand’s Valley career record for assists, and she also had four aces and 19 digs for Valley as they knocked off Jimtown to complete an undefeated Indiana Northern State Conference season.
Mackaylie Costello had 14 kills and a block, and Hadley Wise also had a block. Gaby Gonzalez had 16 digs.
Valley is 19-12 overall and 10-0 in the INSC. The conference title is the first in Valley school history in volleyball.
Engstrand’s previous school record for assists was 2,008. Wagoner now has 2,040.
Wagoner got her 2,000th assist in a sweep of Rochester Monday.
Jimtown won the JV match 25-17, 17-25, 15-11.
