Angola 21, Tippecanoe Valley 6 (Friday): Hawk Hasselman accounted for 211 yards of total offense and scored all 21 points for Angola in a surprise win over visiting Valley in a Class 3A, Sectional 26 quarterfinal Friday.
Wes Parker ran for 95 yards and a touchdown for Valley (7-3), whose five-game winning streak was snapped. Grady Moriarty added 57 yards rushing, and Hunter Stage had 44.
Valley had a 210-146 advantage in rushing yards, but Valley committed two turnovers and went 0 for 3 on fourth down conversions.
Parker’s 40-yard touchdown run in the third quarter cut the Hornets’ lead to 14-6.
Angola had a 157-67 advantage in passing yards.
Angola committed no turnovers or penalties.
Angola led 14-0 at halftime.
Hasselman had 33 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, and he also had three catches for 83 yards and a score. He caught a 71-yard touchdown pass from Brady Ravis in the first quarter.
He also converted all three of his extra points.
Tyler Ruple added two interceptions, and he also caught four passes for 30 yards on offense.
Angola won their first sectional game since 2018. Angola (5-5) will travel to West Noble this Friday for their semifinal.

Pioneer 35, Caston 0 (Friday):
Noah VanMeter ran for 184 yards and three touchdowns, and the No. 5 Pioneer defense recorded their fifth shutout of the season in a road win over Caston in a Class 1A, Sectional 42 quarterfinal Friday.
Shiloh Rine added 66 yards and a touchdown on three carries, and Micah Rans had five carries for 57 yards and a score Braxton Maciejewski added 47 yards on six carries.
As a team, Pioneer had 362 yards rushing on 9.8 yards per carry. Pioneer did not complete a pass or punt.
J.J. Solano and VanMeter had eight tackles each, and Colten Long and Mikaden Toloso had seven tackles each. Eli Guffey had three tackles for loss, and Tolosa had two.Â
Ashton Bowyer had 11 carries for 34 yards to lead the Caston (3-7) ground attack. Tucker Woolever had seven carries for 17 yards, and he also had six tackles on defense.
Gavin Mollenkopf completed 6 of 12 passes for 94 yards. Logan Mollenkopf nabbed three passes for 77 yards.
Reed Sommers had an interception for the Caston defense. Brayden Unger and Bowyer had five tackles each, and Jake Farrer had four. London Herd had three tackles, including one for loss.
Pioneer is 8-0 all-time against Caston in sectional games. They have not lost to Caston since 1996.
Pioneer (9-1) will host No. 3 Frontier this Friday. Frontier is 10-0 after beating Tri-County 50-14.

Carroll (Flora) 27, Winamac 14 (Friday):
Xavier Adriano threw touchdown passes of 57 and 53 yards to Louis Rugg III, but Winamac fell to visiting Carroll in a Class 1A, Sectional 42 quarterfinal at Roudebush Field Friday.
Tearson Wolford led the Warrior ground game with 85 yards, and he also had 14 tackles on defense. Ivan Cardenas had 20 yards rushing on two carries and an 11-yard reception, and he also had five tackles.Â
Adriano passed for 201 yards. Rugg had 120 yards receiving. Hayden Taylor had a 28-yard reception, Hunter Haschel had a 27-yard catch, and Ethan Burgess had a 15-yard catch.
Michael Shidler had seven tackles. Lucas Perez had two tackles for loss.
Carroll had a 283-99 advantage in rushing yards. Cale Peters had three touchdowns runs. Carroll led 14-7 at halftime.
Carroll (6-3) won their sectional opener for the fifth straight year. They will host Taylor in a semifinal this Friday.
Winamac (2-8) lost their sectional opener for the fourth straight year.

Cole Stafford ran for 153 yards and three touchdowns, and he added two catches for 29 yards and a touchdown for the visiting Lancers in a win over Culver in a Class 1A, Sectional 41 quarterfinal Friday.
Brayden Schwitz passed for 87 yards and a touchdown and also ran for 68 yards and a touchdown.Â
LaVille had 276 yards rushing on 7.1 yards per carry as a team.
Culver finished 3-7. They were held to three first downs. They were shut out four times in their last six games.
LaVille snapped Culver’s streak of six straight years winning their sectional opener.
LaVille will travel to North Judson for a semifinal this Friday. North Judson handled South Central 59-6.
