Week 12 roundup: Culver falls to North Judson in sectional final

North Judson 40, Culver 6 (Friday): North Judson jumped out to a 20-0 lead and cruised to a win over Culver in the Class 1A, Sectional 41 final Friday.

North Judson improved to 8-3 and won their second sectional title in three years. North Judson will travel to Carroll (Flora) for the regional at 7:30 p.m. this Friday. Carroll knocked off Clinton Prairie 16-6 in the Sectional 42 final.

Tucker Fisher scored on a 3-yard quarterback sneak in the second quarter for Culver, who finished 4-6.

North Judson had a 304-225 advantage in total yards. North Judson had one turnover while Culver had two, one of which was a fumble returned for a touchdown.

Shane Shuman had 12 carries for 61 yards, and Blake Thompson had 11 carries for 57 yards for Culver.

Fisher and Auston Zehner had six tackles each to lead the defense. Ethan Keller had an interception.

Culver has not won a sectional title since 2009.

North Judson beat Culver for the seventh straight time and knocked the Cavaliers out of the sectional for the third straight year.
