Caston (0-2, 0-1 Hoosier North) at Triton (1-1, 0-1), 7 p.m.
Caston lost their 16th consecutive game when they fell 52-7 to Class 1A, No. 3 North Judson last week.
However, they did manage 199 yards of offense, and senior tight end Grant Yadon and sophomore running back Jabez Yarber combined for 133 of those yards.
Yarber and Yadon also combined for 160 of Caston’s 249 yards of offense in a 24-12 loss to West Central in Week 1.
They figure to need their production against a Triton defense that held Class 2A, No. 8 LaVille to 204 yards of offense in a 22-16 loss last week. Prior to that, Triton handled South Central 30-6 in their opener.
First-year Triton coach Zach Whittaker was the defensive coordinator for four years at Triton before being hired to replace Rodney Younis last November.
Meanwhile, the Caston defense will try to contain Triton senior quarterback Cole Shively, who ran for 157 yards and three touchdowns against South Central but was held to one yard on 15 carries against LaVille.
Triton has won the last eight meetings in the series. Caston has not beaten Triton since a 6-0 win on Aug. 19, 2016. Caston has not won at Triton since Aug. 19, 2011.
