Whitko 12, Culver 0 (5 innings, Thursday): Jaxon Parker threw a no-hitter with two walks and 13 strikeouts to lead the visiting Wildcats past Culver in the Cavaliers’ season opener Thursday.
Hayden Parker and Adam Peterson each drew a walk for Culver.
Parker took the loss on the mound after allowing 11 hits and 11 runs (all earned) in 2 ⅔ innings. He walked three and struck out one.
Owen Falk allowed two hits, two walks and one unearned run in 1 ⅓ innings. Cameron Whitworth pitched a hitless fifth with one strikeout.
Already leading 3-0, Whitko scored eight runs in the top of the third.
