Winamac names Davis football coach

Winamac announced the hiring of Eric Davis as its new football coach after he was approved at a school board meeting Monday night.

Davis has previous head coaching experience at Blackford, Greencastle, Taylor, Tri-County (two stints), Frankfort and Bellmont. He has a career record of 27-94.

He also was previously an assistant coach at Rochester. 

Winamac went 2-8 in 2025. Josh Burgess stepped down after the season. Winamac has not had a winning season since 2021.

The Winamac School Board also approved the hiring of Kayley Kasten as the new volleyball coach. She replaces Heather Kasten.
