North Newton 5, Winamac 0 (Friday): Corrin Combs singled and doubled, but no other Winamac player had a hit as the Class 2A, No. 9 Lady Warriors fell to Class 1A, No. 12 North Newton Friday at Winamac.
Sydney Rainford pitched a two-hit shutout with no walks and 15 strikeouts. Maggie Keller was the lone Winamac player who at an at-bat but did not strike out.
Brooke Rausch pitched the first four innings and allowed six hits and two runs (both earned). She walked one and struck out three. Adrianna Hall followed with three innings of relief and allowed three hits and three runs (all earned). She walked two and struck out six.
Rainford also went 2 for 2 with a single, a double and two walks at the plate.
North Newton scored two runs in the first and stretched the lead to 5-0 in the third.

Logansport 12, Winamac 2 (5 innings, Thursday): Corrin Combs had two singles, and Adrianna Hall and Makayla Werner each had a hit and an RBI, but Winamac lost to host Logansport Thursday
Lauren Bruce and Grace Roth also had hits for Winamac.
Maddy Baumgardner pitched a six-hitter with three strikeouts for Logansport. Natalee Packard and Bianca Cortez had three RBIs each.
Winamac led 2-1 after two innings before Logansport took the lead for good with five runs in the third.
