Zehner homers, S. Schlemmer drives in 3 as Culver tops LaVille

Molebash: 3 RBIs at the plate, 4 innings of relief for the win

Culver 13, LaVille 5 (Thursday): Abigayle Zehner singled, doubled and hit an inside-the-park homer and drove in two runs, and Savannah Schlemmer had three hits and two RBIs for the visiting Lady Cavs as they improved to 2-0 Thursday.

Aiden Molebash added two singles and three RBIs at the plate, and she allowed one run over the final four innings in the circle for the win. Molebash allowed three hits and one walk while striking out six.

Schlemmer started and allowed six hits and four runs (one earned) in three innings. She walked none and struck out three.

Maddie Kitts doubled and drove in a run, and Brianna Schlemmer singled and drove in a run. Gracie Milam had a triple, and Brooke Davis and Hayden Lute also had hits.

With Culver leading 5-4 in the top of the fourth, Lute singled with two outs, and Zehner followed with her inside-the-park homer to right field.
