Zimpleman hits 2-run homer, but Caston falls to Kokomo

Kokomo 5, Caston 2 (April 14): Addison Zimpleman hit a two-run homer in the fifth, but the Caston softball team lost to host Kokomo April 14.

Zimpleman also had a double, and Kinzie Mollenkopf also had two hits. Isabel Scales and Kylee Logan each had a single.

Zimpleman and Mollenkopf pitched three innings each. Zimpleman allowed four hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Mollenkopf allowed two hits and struck out four.

Gwen Hand pitched a five-hitter with 12 strikeouts for Kokomo. She also had two hits and an RBI.
