Caston 61, Knox 25 (Dec. 16): Addison Zimleman scored a game-high 21 points, and
Isabel Scales had 20 points for Class 1A, No. 3 in a Hoosier North home win over Knox on Dec. 16.
Zimpleman and Scales had six rebounds each. Scales had six steals.
Zimpleman, Bailey Harness and Macee Hinderlider had four assists each.
Kinzie Mollenkopf had six points, five rebounds and three assists. Harness also had five points, seven rebounds and six steals.
Caston led 29-16 at halftime and extended the lead to 44-21 after three quarters.
Caston defeated Knox for the first time since they became Hoosier North rivals in 2015.
Caston improved to 13-0, 5-0 Hoosier North. Combined with LaVille’s loss at home to Pioneer, Caston is the only remaining unbeaten team in the Hoosier North.
Their final two conference games are against Culver (home) on Jan. 5 and LaVille (road) on Jan. 7.
Caston also won the JV game 24-14 behind Kaitie Hutsell’s 12 points and nine rebounds. Autumn Miller had six points and seven rebounds, Olivia Thomas had four points, and Kylee Logan had two points and seven rebounds.
