Andrzejewski’s big night helps Culver top W. Central

Culver 39, West Central 25 (Thursday): Eliana Andrzejewski led Culver with 14 points and seven rebounds, and Ava McCune added nine points for the visiting Lady Cavaliers in a win over West Central Thursday.

Ashlynn Berndt added seven points and six steals for Culver (15-6), who bounced back from a loss in the Hoosier North championship game to North Miami Wednesday.

Culver led 28-23 after three quarters before closing with an 11-2 run.

Emily Bunger had eight points to lead the Lady Trojans (14-6). West Central came in averaging 43 points per game. Only North Judson held them to fewer points in a game this year.

Culver has won seven of the last nine meetings with West Central.
