Argos baseball earns first win vs. Culver

Lady Dragon softball loses by 10-run rule to South Central, LaVille

Argos 11, Culver 4 (Wednesday): Dylan Kindig had two hits, including a homer, and also walked twice to lead the visiting Dragons past sectional rival Culver Wednesday.

Jackson Kindig, Jaiden Klingerman and Kole Burkholder added two hits each.

Kurt Johnson had a hit and scored three times. Kindig also scored three times.

Dylan Kindig got the win on the mound. Burkholder got the save. They combined to hold Culver to two hits.

Argos led 8-0 after two innings.

Culver stats were not provided to RTC.

Alyssa Welsh and Hope Welsh also homered for South Central.

Kara Sabanski and Shelbi Weiser each had singles for Argos.

Argos pitchers allowed 13 hits and walked 13.

Lauren Bowmar and Gale combined on a two-hitter.

South Central led 10-0 after one inning.

Cambree Howe homered for LaVille, who scored nine runs in the first.

LaVille had 12 hits. The game featured 17 walks, nine hit batters and 14 wild pitches.

Lily McMillen and Carlie Rex each had an RBI.

Argos pitchers walked 21 and also hit three batters and threw seven wild pitches. Triton also took advantage of 12 Argos errors.

Triton scored seven runs in each of the first two innings.

The second game of the scheduled doubleheader was rained out.

Argos to play South Bend Career Academy twice: The Argos softball team will play South Bend Career Academy in a pair of conference games.

They will meet at South Bend Career Academy at 5:30 p.m. April 26 and at Argos at 5:30 p.m. April 30.
