Callahan, Miller win twice, but Valley girls tennis goes 0-2 at Concord tournament

Despite both Karegan Callahan and Lydia Miller both going 2-0 on the day, the Tippecanoe Valley girls tennis team went 0-2 at the Concord tournament Saturday.

Valley lost to Concord 3-2 and Leo 3-2.

Callahan beat Concord’s Ari Mosquera and Leo’s Bella Bonecutter at No. 1 singles. Miller beat Anna Stone and Alyssa Stopher at No. 2 singles and lost four games total in two matches.

Talia Holder went 0-2 at No. 3 singles.

Ella Sandbakken and Madelyn Weaver went 0-2 at No. 1 doubles. Sarah Finney and Kylee Trepanier went 0-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Valley’s third match against Lakeland was rained out.

Valley’s home match against Rochester on Monday was also rained out and rescheduled for 5 p.m. May 9.
