Scales notches double-double, adds 7 assists

Caston 54, Argos 38 (Nov. 3): Isabel Scales scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for
a double-double and also dished out seven assists, and Addison Zimpleman and Bailey Harness also scored in double figures for the host Lady Comets in a season-opening win over Argos on Nov. 3.
Zimpleman had 12 points and four steals. Harness had 10 points and six rebounds. Macee Hinderlider (eight points) and Annie Harsh (six) also set new varsity career highs. Hinderlider hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored all of her points in the first quarter.
Caston led 27-25 at halftime and extended the lead to 42-34 after three quarters.
Caston made more free throws (9) than Argos attempted (8).
Emma Dunlap had 15 points, and Bella Stults had 12 for Argos, who was playing on Caston’s floor for the first time since falling to North White in the regional final in February.
Caston beat Argos in the season opener for the third straight year.
Argos won the JV game 29-24. Kylie Reidenbach led the Caston JV with seven points, Kylee Logan had six, Kaitie Hutsell had five, Camila Hernandez-Rios had four, and Olivia Thomas had two.
