Caston senior catcher Kylee Logan verbally committed to Manchester University for softball in a social media post Tuesday.
Logan hit .324 with one home run and 14 RBIs last season.
She has been a three-year starter behind the plate for the Lady Comets, including back-to-back Hoosier North championship seasons in the springs of 2023 and 2024. Logan started behind the plate during Caston’s run to the Class 1A state title game in 2023.
She contributed the go-ahead RBI single in the semistate semifinal win over Kouts.
Logan thanked Manchester coach Sara Emerich and assistant coach Rachel Oberholtzer in her statement.
“First I would like to thank my parents for the countless sacrifices they have made for me,” Logan said on social media. “Also my family for always showing up and supporting me. A big thanks to all my teammates I have played with along the way. Thank you to all the past and present coaches that have coached me on this journey. And lastly a huge thank you to Coach Emerich and Coach Oberholtzer for giving me this opportunity. Can’t wait to be a Spartan!!”
Logan also plays volleyball and basketball at Caston. She is the daughter of Caston volleyball coach Delonna Logan.
