Culver beats West Central, ends 22-game skid

Clingler scores 22, King adds 14

Boys basketball

Culver 61, West Central 39 (Tuesday): Owen Clingler scored 22 points, and Jalen King added 14 for Culver in a home win over West Central Tuesday.

Marquez Anderson added seven points, Auston Zehner had five, Cam Minix had four, Emiliano Ortiz had three, and Braxton Conley, Dalton Powell and Shane Shuman had two each.

Culver led 16-2 after one quarter and 29-17 at halftime.

Bi-County Tournament

Culver draws Bremen for Bi-County tournament: Culver will host Bremen in a girls-boys doubleheader on Jan. 18 to open the Bi-County Tournament.

Semifinals and consolation games in the girls tournament will be held Jan. 20. Culver will host regardless of opponent.

Semifinals and consolation games in the boys tournament will be held Jan. 22. Culver will host regardless of opponent.

The girls championship game will be held at LaVille at noon Jan. 23. The boys championship game at LaVille will start at 6 p.m. Jan. 23.

The Bremen-Culver and New Prairie-Argos matchups are in the upper half of the draw. The Oregon-Davis-John Glenn and Triton-LaVille matchups are in the bottom half of the draw.
