West Central 14, Culver 0 (5 innings): Brady Kindernay and Reese Harrell each had a single for Culver in a season-opening home loss to West Central Friday.

Derek McKee took the loss on the mound. McKee and Owen Falk combined to hold West Central scoreless after the second inning.

Freshman Braden McKay pitched a two-hit shutout for the Trojans.
