Other Caston players included Colby Pugh, who shot a 44; Luke Graham, who had a 53; and Chas Warpenburg, who carded a 67.

DeMotte Christian 172, Culver 196, Caston 206 (May 22): Colby Pugh shot a 42 to lead Caston as they finished third in a three-way, nine-hole match at Maxinkuckee Country Club in Culver on May 22.

A.J. Dague had a 45, Luke Graham had a 53, and Chas Warpenburg had a 63 to round out the Caston scorecard.

Lewis Cass 157, Caston 206 (May 23): A.J. Dague was the low Caston scorer with a 38, but the Comets lost to Lewis Cass in a dual match at Logansport Country Club on May 23.

Colby Pugh followed with a 47, Luke Graham had a 57, and Chas Warpenburg had a 64.

Caston Junior High golf update

Junior high golf

The Caston Junior High golf team lost to Tippecanoe Valley 201-238 on May 5.

Gage Thomas led Caston with a 50, Carter Moss had a 60, Gabriel Burkett-Rader had a 62, Drew Douglass had a 66, and Alyssa Smith had a 70.

Caston lost to Logansport 161-241 on May 8. Thomas led with a 52, Luke Hipsher had a 59, Moss had a 63, Burkett-Rader fired a 67, and Smith had a 70.

Caston fell to Lewis Cass 220-221 at Logansport Golf Club on May 11. Thomas had a 51 to lead Caston, Hipsher had a 54, Burkett-Rader had a 55, Douglass had a 61, Moss had a 66, and Smith had 72. Burkett-Rader’s and Douglass’ scores were both season lows.

Caston shot a 210 and finished ninth out of 11 teams at the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational at The Waldo Golf Course in Roann on May 15. Caston defeated Triton and Urey Red.

Burkett-Rader led Caston with a 48, Thomas had a 51, Hipsher had a 55, Smith carded a 56, and Moss fired a 59.
