Peterson sinks 6 treys for Lady Cavs

Argos 38, Culver 33 (Tuesday): Emma Dunlap hit two 3-pointers and scored 15 points, and Argos survived 12 missed free throws to beat host Culver in a Bi-County quarterfinal at John R. Nelson Gymnasium Tuesday.
Samantha Redinger and Baleigh Binkley added seven points each, and Bella Stults had six points and a team-high eight rebounds. Binkley and Ellie Bollenbacher had seven rebounds each. Dunlap also had two steals.
Argos made just 7 of 19 free throws. Culver was 2 for 2 from the line.
Rose Peterson hit six 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 for Culver. Brynn Berndt had six points.
Amiyah Williams had a team-high nine rebounds. Luci Overmyer had two assists.
Argos led 13-11 at halftime and extended the lead to 25-21 after three quarters.
Argos improved to 10-9. Culver dropped to 7-11. Argos coach Scott Jennings is 6-0 against Culver. Argos beat Culver for the second time this season and the 13th straight time overall.
In other Bi-County games Tuesday, Bremen beat Triton 57-44, New Prairie handled John Glenn 57-44, and LaVille beat Oregon-Davis 47-28.
Argos will play LaVille in a semifinal at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the LaVille main gym. Culver will play Oregon-Davis in a consolation game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the LaVille auxiliary gym.
