Triton 6, Caston 4 (May 18): Pete DuVall had two hits and an RBI, and Caleb Stinson and Gavin Mollenkopf each had a hit and an RBI for the Caston baseball team in a Hoosier North road loss to Triton on May 18.
Talon Zeider added a double, and Noah Herd had a single.
DuVall took the loss on the mound. He allowed five hits and six runs (two earned) in five innings. He walked four and struck out four.
Herd pitched a hitless sixth.
Jacon Pitney allowed six hits and five walks in seven innings but got the win for Triton, who lost to Caston 16-0 in five innings two days earlier.

Rentschler’s 4 hits lead Caston past O-D in regular season finale

Caston 7, Oregon-Davis 2 (May 19): Noah Herd and Talon Zeider combined on a five-hitter, and Jackson Rentschler had four hits and two RBIs for Caston in a road win over Oregon-Davis on May 19.
Preston Holderfield, Edison Byrum and Gavin Mollenkopf each had a hit and an RBI, and Grant Yadon and Pete DuVall also had hits.
Herd pitched the first three innings, and Zeider pitched the last four. Herd allowed one hit and no earned runs while walking three and striking out two. Zeider got the win, allowing four hits and one earned run. He walked two and fanned five.
Caston scored four runs in the top of the third inning to take a 4-1 lead and never again trailed.
