Argos 5, Caston 0 (Saturday): Yahir Fajardo scored twice and dished out an assist, and Kenyan Beldon also scored twice for the host Dragons in a win over conference and sectional rival Caston at Eugene Snyder Field Saturday.
Fabion Olivares also had a goal and an assist.
Sawyer Crace had two saves in goal for the shutout.
Argos had a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Argos led 2-0 at halftime.
Argos improved to 1-1, 1-0 Hoosier North. Caston dropped to 0-2-1, 0-1.
“I was really proud of the way the team played from start to finish,” Caston first-year coach Trey Young said in a statement. “It took Argos about 30 minutes to net their first goal, and our starting squad held them to two goals. Once we went deeper into our bench, they were able to do some damage. Ultimately, once we find some offensive production, we will be a formidable squad.”
