Hadlie Coffing Lexie Field

Caston 14, Lewis Cass 4 (6 innings, Monday): Freshman Lexie Field had two hits and three RBIs, and Hadlie Coffing went 2 for 2 with two RBIs at the plate and also struck out eight over 5 ⅔ innings for Caston in a home win over Lewis Cass Monday.

Natalie Warner also had two hits and two RBIs, and Mia Mersch singled and had two RBIs. Kylee Logan had two hits and an RBI.

Alex Mersch had two hits and two runs scored. Emily Rodas singled in her only at-bat and scored a run. Jordyn Middleton walked twice and scored twice.

Coffing, a sophomore, pitched 5 ⅔ innings and allowed four hits and four runs (none earned). She walked three and struck out eight.

Warner got the final out in the sixth on a strikeout to stop a four-run Lady King rally that cut the deficit to 8-4.

Caston then ended the game with six runs in the bottom half. The last three runs scored with two outs, including a walk-off RBI single by Logan.
